Pop-up advertisements are the specialty of the advertising network PopAds.net. It links publishers and advertisers, enabling the former to run campaigns aimed at particular demographics and the latter to profit from website visitors through pop-up advertisements. Founded in 2010, PopAds is well recognized as one of the first sources of pop traffic in the online advertising space. Its enduring presence in the market attests to its dependability and efficiency as an ad network service provider. It is one of the oldest ad networks on the internet!
Now let’s get right into it – let’s skip all the nonsense that people who want you to register would say. Every network will tell you they have the best rates, that only they can provide you with what you need and you shouldn’t look elsewhere as they have you covered! Yeah… No.
General information
Overview
Minimum payout | $5 Daily Payouts |
Payout options | Paypal, USDT TRC20/ERC20, BTC, Capitalist, Webmoney, Credit/Debit, Wire |
Ad Formats | Popup |
Referral comission | 10% |
This network has withdrawal fees for anything that’s not paypal. Especially high fees for crypto.
There is really only one format and that is the popup, even if you select other formats, they will not display as popads doesn’t really sell it to advertisers. While it is a shame that you cannot serve direct links, this excludes popads from being a “fallback” option, unless you have a system that can rotate ad code, which is much much more complicated than rotating a simple link
Adding a website is pretty simple, submit the URL and select a proper category for it and it will take upto 3 days to approve it. There is no minimum traffic requirement as long as the site has a normal amount of content and not blank or “still under construction”, it will be accepted.
The ad code options are pretty good and are explained onsite pretty well, you should absolutely click the “show advanced options” button, let’s run through them:

These are pretty simple, my recommendation would be to keep them all at 0 unless you’re making the impression fallback into another network, the minimal bid is amount per impression, so in the image you see what a 0.1$ min cpm looks like. I usually remove a zero there and keep it at $1 and then everything else fallsback to HillTopAds and then it’s capped to a 0.5$ and fallsback to another network or cap it at 0.1$ and fallback it to a affiliate revshare program.
Moving down the settings;

The delay is the most important part, basically how it works is the visitor will immediately receive a popup and then after a 30 second cooldown will receive another one. Adjust this according to your needs, but you must understand that the CPM drastically drops down the more ads the same person sees. For example, the first impression may hit at a $1.7 rate for a US visitor, the second may be below a dollar and then less and less. This is why fallbacks are so effective.
The IFRAME compatibility is ideally set to automatic, but give it a test, some site designs would work much better with it disabled, it would allow the user to navigate the website more fluidly and it would improve user experience, but it may also reduce impression count. This has to be tested on each individual website design.

This is a very important setting, never leave it empty, because if popads runs out of inventory for your visitor, they would not receive any advertising and you would not be paid. The user gets an ad free experience though! The fillrate is pretty high, so if in the min bid setting you left 0, you shouldn’t really get that many fallbacks, but if you set it to something like 0.1 – 0.3, you will get a lot depending on your geo. In this scenario on this particular site, I left the min cpm on 0.1$ and set a fallback to go to an free onlyfans page, which I got through an affiliate platform, so I would receive revshare if any purchases would be made.
This is where you setup your fallback URL or setup an ad-code from another network, but direct link works best.
There’s also an option to block specific countries, so no ads are shown to that geo.
Earning rates
What’s the CPM?!
Really depends on your geos, but around $1 for adult traffic wordwide. For USA around $1.44, these are our findings from selling popads over 15 million impressions. Some countries rates are quite low, even if they are considered tier 1, from our experience popads really likes USA and Nordic countries. As you can see, our sample sizes are quite high so we can more accurately judge the rates.

Never judge a networks CPM by what you read on some article or what they show you on the yellow pages. It will highly vary depending on geos and refresh rate. For example, if you sell only one pop per user every 24 hours, your cpm may be very high, but if you uncap it and an average visitor sees 4 pops, the cpm rate will drastically drop – your earnings will of course be higher overall, but the rates will plummet.
The only way to get the maximum CPM from any network is to use the fallback function, cap the rates and daisy chain many networks.
Conclusion
Popads is the most reliable adult ad network
Probably the greatest popup network online. They accept adult traffic – all of it, it has the greatest fill rate of any network, the rates may not be the greatest – the solution to this issue is to daisy chain pops, if you have a system that does it by geo – even better.
The most important part of judging any network – did they try to pull anything shady? No. They have never given us any issues in the multiple years of use, sometimes they will even warn us if our sites have been flagged for abuse google reports. They will accept sites of any size so even if you have no traffic, it is highly recommended for anyone who is serious in running their adult website to try popads.net!
